In order to take the competitiveness of the mobile processor market to a new step with the Dimensity line, MediaTek accelerated its work to develop its latest processor. The date for the launch of the Dimensity 9200 Plus processor that has some advanced capabilities, has been revealed.
MediaTek Dimensity 9200 comes with features
MediaTek is a company that has been active in the mid-range and entry-level smartphone market over the last years, announced its Dimensity series in the year 2020. With the goal of focusing on flagship models, with the Dimensity 9000 series MediaTek managed to catch interest from smartphone makers.
In 2021, the Dimensity 9000 model beat its predecessor due to 17 percent more memory bandwidth than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The performance and heating issues of this Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model led Qualcomm to be unable to catch up with the market.
MediaTek Dimensity 9200 was launched in the last year, has brought a change to its predecessor, the Apple A16 Bionic processor in terms of graphics performance. MediaTek has been growing in the top mobile processor market, hopes to attract more customers by offering an intermediate model.
According to leaked details, MediaTek will include ARM Cortex-X3 in its upcoming processor. The processor is believed to comprise 8 cores, 1 Cortex X3 (3.35GHz) 3 Cortex-A715 (3.00GHz) along with 4 Cortex-A510 (2.00GHz) cores will be utilized. For the graphics interface the Immortalis G715 MC11 GPU will be included.
The company has announced that it will unveil its latest flagship processor on the 10th of May. It is believed that the first product to launch featuring the Dimensity 9200 Plus processor will be the iQOO Neo 8 Pro.
